Stock Embroidery Design Libraries – Yay or Nay?

PantoStock Embroidery Designs
Starting an Embroidery Business – Part 1
When embroidery businesses are just starting up, there are certainly their fair share of start-up costs. Of course, this is not unusual for any infant business – it definitely takes money to make money. But with a little research and a keen sense of value, there are some corners that can be cut.

One of them is with the Pantostock Stock Embroidery Design Library. This collection of embroidery designs has indeed been around for what seems to be an eternity, however, it represents one of the best values in the industry, especially for the new embroiderer. Sure, there are nicer, larger stock libraries available, but where else can you get started with over 3900 embroidery designs for under $100? It’s a deal that is hard to beat. It’s almost a no-brainer, and it certainly does not take many jobs to pay off this investment.

The PantoStock CD itself is set up as a virtual catalog, making it easy to view the designs on the computer in a neat and organized fashion. This also allows for an easy way for your customers to view what is available to them when looking to personalizer garments. The only downfall is that there is no paper catalog that is included, however, the CD does allow the user to print directly from the computer.

Dakota Collectibles
Another great way to add a large amount of specialty-themed designs is to watch for special values on the Dakota Collectibles and Gunold Embroidery Stock Design Libraries. At Sewforless.com anytime that we receive special pricing on these large design packs we pass it on to our customers, but these are not available all of the time. The best way to stay on top of this is to make sure and sign up for the newsletter (email members often get better pricing, too.)

These Specialty Collections do not offer quite the value that the PantoStock Design CD does, however, one of the great features of these stock designs libraries from Dakota Collectibles are the full color catalogs that are included. These are great to be able to quickly peruse and find some designs without the use of the computer.

All in all, when deciding on a Stock Embroidery Design Library, there are hundreds of choices from many different companies. However, with a little planning and some careful deal hunting, you can start your embroidery company with a nice variety of embroidery designs for under $100. By watching for special pricing on some of the Dakota Collectibles and Gunold Embroidery Libraries, you can add some great specialty-themed designs for some bargain-based pricing.
